10-DAY SELF-TAPE CHALLENGE (April 19-29, 2026)

 

In an industry that moves incredibly fast, actors must always be ready to deliver their best work at a moment’s notice.

 

This 10-day challenge is designed to keep you audition-ready while helping you strengthen your self-taping skills, acting choices, character development, and memorization. Each day, you will record and submit a new self-tape, giving you consistent practice and the opportunity to grow quickly as a performer. The more you commit to the process, the more you will improve. After ten days of daily self-tapes, you will notice real progress in your confidence, preparation, and performance on camera.

 

To make it even more exciting, selected work from this challenge will be viewed by industry professionals, including casting directors, agents, and directors, who will be part of the jury evaluating the challenge. Most importantly, this is a chance to push yourself, build strong habits, and have fun while doing it.

 

 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

    • The challenge kicks off on Sunday, April 19th, 2026, at 10 AM and concludes on April 29th, 2026, at 10 AM.

    • To participate, there’s a $75 fee, plus applicable taxes ($86.23).

    • Every day for ten consecutive days, you’ll receive sides in both French and English via email at 10 AM Eastern Daylight Time (GMT -4). Your task is to learn and perform the material to the best of your ability, submitting it before 10 AM the following day. A self-tape submitted after 10:01 AM will be disqualified, but you are strongly encouraged to continue the challenge the next day to enhance your chances of winning one of the categories mentioned below.

    • To submit your self-tape, you’ll need to upload a video via a YouTube or Vimeo link and share it within a private Facebook group. Keep your posts concise, sharing only the link, and await constructive feedback. Each participant is encouraged to provide feedback on a minimum of five fellow actors’ self-tapes. This is a professional platform where only constructive comments are accepted, fostering a supportive acting community that uplifts one another.

    • Participants must fully understand and adhere to the Four Agreements: 1- BE IMPECCABLE WITH YOUR WORD / 2- DON’T TAKE ANYTHING PERSONALLY / 3- DON’T MAKE ASSUMPTIONS / 4- ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST. Failure to comply with these rules or any unprofessional behaviour will result in immediate disqualification from the challenge without a refund.

 

 

WHY SHOULD YOU EMBRACE THE CHALLENGE?

    1. You will engage in daily acting for ten consecutive days.

    4. A panel of judges (to be announced) will be invited to vote for the following categories: Best comedic tape, best dramatic tape, and an honourable mention. It’s important to note that both French and English submissions will be fully considered for these categories, though separate language-specific categories won’t be created.
